Stage 1 Hires Principal, Engagement Leader, Eric Weidner

Today, Stage 1 Financial announced that Eric Weidner will now the role of Principal, Engagement Leader focusing on Orange County-based clients. Weidner is a successful business operator, problem solver and strategist with depth of experience covering many elements of finance and administration including: controllership, financial planning & analysis, treasury, tax, risk management, legal, human resources, strategy and M&A, spanning both domestic and international operations.

He joins Stage 1 Financial with over 20 years of experience culminating in the Chief Financial Officer position with industry experience including: automotive, industrial products, consumer products, renewable energy, outsourced services and international manufacturing and distribution operations.

His capability, know-how, and perspective spans organizations ranging from development stage/start-up, to Fortune 100 international operations with multiple locations including: General Electric, TRW, The Linde Group, Fisker Automotive and other greenfield start-ups, as well as multiple business consulting assignments. His experience includes capital raise support and maintenance of $90 million of equity and over $500 million of debt. Furthermore, Eric has led and directly participated in multiple strategic projects including: acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and new facility start-ups, both domestic and international.

He is a graduate of The Ohio State University (BSBA – Accounting), and Case Western University (MBA). Additionally, he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
